Background
Shrewsbury International School, Bangkok offers an inspirational English language education to carefully selected students aged 3 to 18 years. The school occupies a stunning riverside setting in the heart of Bangkok, and is renowned for its academic, musical, artistic and sporting excellence. Whilst sharing the tradition, values and pioneering spirit of its renowned UK sister school, the commitment to continuous improvement and renewal ensures that we always remain at the very forefront of contemporary international education.
Over 1,650 students, drawn from 40 different nationalities, benefit from the support and guidance of exceptional teachers and top class facilities, and are provided with outstanding opportunities to develop their interests both inside and out of the classroom. Throughout their time at Shrewsbury, students follow the National Curriculum for England. They develop a passion for learning and graduate with internationally recognised IGCSE and A-level qualifications that provide the gateway to the world’s leading universities and colleges, including the elite Ivy League and Oxbridge universities.
Every year, Shrewsbury delivers class-leading examination results and 2017 was no exception. 40% of A-level exams taken by Shrewsbury Students in 2017 achieved the top A* grade (over 5 times higher than the UK average of 8%). Setting a new record for the school, 71% of IGCSE exams scored A or A* grade, with an incredible 42% of exams earning the top A*grade.
